What Is Art Therapy?
Art therapy is a casual, relaxing form of therapy that uses the creative process of making art to support emotional health, spiritual healing, and social well‑being. As a certified art therapy practitioner, I guide you through activities such as drawing, painting, sculpting, or collage—not to create “good” art, but to communicate thoughts and emotions that may be difficult to express in words in ways that help us discover our inner trauma and roadblocks that prevent us from healing and becoming our best selves.

Holistic Mental Health
Art therapy provides individuals with a safe, non‑verbal way to explore feelings, resolve inner conflicts, and gain insight into their experiences. The act of creating art can be calming and relieve stress, helping to lower anxiety and provide relief from overwhelming emotions. Through color, shape, and imagery, individuals can externalize feelings such as grief, anger, or fear, making them more manageable and less isolating.

Healing With Art
Additionally, art therapy can support healing from trauma and improve overall mental health. Research shows it can be beneficial for people experiencing depression, anxiety, post‑traumatic stress, chronic illness, and neurological conditions. In group settings, art therapy can also strengthen social connection and communication, helping participants feel less alone and more understood.

This Is Your Journey
My job is to guide you through your journey and help you discover your own challenges and personal goals, not to tell you what is wrong. I use my understanding of symbology and neurology to help you translate your subconscious thoughts into something tangible so that we can discover the best way forward. My goal is to send you back into the world with a new set of tools at your disposal.
